Experience endless fun in the water in the outdoor swimming pool of our holiday resort, which includes a separate children's pool. Opposite our resort, you will also find a brand new municipal swimming pool, both outdoor and indoor. There are also plenty of beautiful indoor and outdoor tennis courts, which guests of our resort may use. Children will have a great time in the playground or on the soccer pitch, while you enjoy a bite to eat at restaurant Bistro De Loep or lunch room/snack bar Buuf & Buur. The facilities at a glance:

Surroundings of Hessenheem

There is certainly plenty to do in the area. The resort lies hidden in the forests of Markelo, where you will find a large network of hiking and cycling trails. These trails will lead you past historic country estates, castles, and picturesque villages. Nature reserve De Borkeld with its rolling landscape with heather, peat, and juniper berries should definitely be recommended! In the village of Markelo you will also find nice shops, museums, and pleasant outdoor cafes. Nice for a day out. Other tips for nice excursions in the area are the Weldam Estate in Markelo or Adventure Park Hellendoorn.

Area around Vakantiepark Hessenheem

In the area around Bospark Markelo there is lots to do. The park is hidden within the forests of Markelo, where you'll find an expansive network of hiking and cycling paths. These lead you past historic manors, castles, and quaint towns.  Nature Reserve De Borkeld is highly recommended with its rolling hills with heathlands, moors, and junipers! You'll also find fun stores, museums, and cozy terraces in the town of Markelo. Nice for a day trip. Different tips for nice trips in the area are Landgoed Weldam in Markelo or Avonturenpark Hellendoorn.

Where can you find us?
The Hessenheem outdoor center is located just outside of Markelo in the municipality of Hof van Twente between Lochem, Holten, Rijssen, and Goor. Our resort is situated on the Markelo-Goor provincial road. Coming from the A1, take the Markelo exit, then head towards Goor. Approximately 3 km outside of Markelo, you will see the "Hessenheem" sign. On your navigation system, enter: Potdijk 8, Markelo.

Where do you check in?
When you arrive at the resort, you should report to the reception. Here you will receive the key to your accommodation and information about the facilities at the resort.

What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival is from 3 p.m. and departure is before 10 a.m.
